At first I was thinking of doing a theme of old and new architecture, since there are parts of the city that were rebuilt after the war, not to mention the parts of the city outside the old city center. But then I thought I’d focus more on the fantastic light this morning. I love silhouette effects, as well as strong contrasts of light and dark. There’s a reason why Caravaggio and his chiaroscuro is among my favorite artists. So, I present to you the strong morning light and blue skies we had when we visited a small park outside the old city center today. I love how even for me, the light and shadow presents a totally different view of a spot I know well. The second photo would be disorienting for me if I didn’t know better!
